SLPOA  7th Annual Fishing Derby
June 2 2018 - our fishing derby day- started out as a gloomy cloudy day. A thunderstorm at 1.30 pm delayed our opening time and also limited our contestents - we had no children in the 8- 12 category. The rain contiued as a light mist and not to be deterred 14  anglers participated in our annual event.
The Lake Comittee, led by Chair Walt Tomilowicz and included Carmine Lisante. Mike Deperi, Jim Furno, John Richter and Brendan O'Sullivan were also not deterred - but then they had a tent and chairs that shielded them from the foggy mist!!
At the end of day the winers were:
Age 4- 7 category - Jacob Lagreca  with a 11.25 inch  Bass
Age 13- 17 category - Tarna Batelman with a 9inch Blue Gill
Age 18 and over - Sherrod Barrow with a 15.5 inch Bass
The grand prize winner was Sharrod Barrow (largest fish caught).
Prize winners got Walmart gift cards and all got goody bags.
It should be noted that not only did Jacob get a prize he also netted a brown frog!!
